Method

How to Make Cheesy Ground Beef and Rice Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the lean ground beef with diced onion, draining any excess fat once cooked.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup with your choice of milk or beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. In the prepared baking dish, mix the cooked rice, beef mixture, and half the shredded cheese. Pour the sauce over and stir gently to combine.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the casserole. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden; optionally broil for an extra crispy topping.
  8. Let it cool slightly, then garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
