Method
 

How to Make
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Gently fold in the grated cheddar cheese and finely chopped jalapeños.
  4. Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out to about ½-inch thick. Cut into shapes and place on a lined baking sheet.
  6. If using, sprinkle sesame seeds or chili flakes on top before baking.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
