- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for even cooking.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and half of the ketchup. Mix gently but thoroughly and press into a greased baking dish. Top with the remaining ketchup.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked through with no pink in the center.
- Spread prepared mashed potatoes over the meatloaf, followed by cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for 1-2 minutes for a crispy top if desired.
- Let cool slightly, garnish with green onions or chives, slice, serve, and enjoy!
