- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the wild rice according to package instructions.
- Boil water in a separate pot and cook the shrimp for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque. Drain well.
- Combine cooked rice, shrimp, cream of mushroom soup, cheddar cheese, Old Bay seasoning, onion powder, and salt in a large bowl. Mix well.
- Spoon the mixture into a greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish and sprinkle extra cheddar cheese on top if desired.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately, allowing it to cool slightly before portioning.
