Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and grease a rimmed baking sheet.
- Arrange the breaded chicken breast chunks on one side of the baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes.
- Prepare the waffles by cutting each frozen waffle into 9 pieces and setting them aside.
- Mix the salted butter and maple syrup in a small bowl, then microwave until melted.
- Shift the chicken to one side of the baking sheet after 12 minutes, and place the waffle pieces on the other side.
- Brush the waffles with the melted butter and syrup mixture.
- Bake for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the waffles turn golden brown and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Assemble by threading one piece of chicken and one piece of waffle onto mini skewers.
- Serve warm, drizzling extra maple syrup over the top.
