  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract opt for pure vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
For the Creamy Filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese ensure it's at room temperature
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
For Topping
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for sprinkling on top

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and confectioners' sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese filling on each slice of bread.
  5. Gently roll each slice of bread tightly from one end to the other.
  6. Dip each rolled-up slice into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds.
  7. Place the coated roll-ups seam side down in a greased baking dish.
  8. In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon, then generously coat the tops of the roll-ups.
  9. Dot the tops with small pieces of softened unsalted butter.
  10. Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes.
