How to Make Cinnamon Sugar Twist Donuts
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and active dry yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until it becomes bubbly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together one large egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, fine sea salt, and ground cinnamon to the yeast mixture.
- Lightly flour your surface and knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.
- Place your kneaded dough in a greased bowl. Cover it and let it rise in a warm area until it doubles in size, roughly 1 hour.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down gently. Shape it into twists or your desired donut form.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and ground cinnamon for the coating.
- Before serving, roll each shaped donut in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully covered.
