- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining with parchment paper.
- Mix together 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon in a small bowl for the swirl.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth using a fork. Add the melted butter and stir together until combined.
- Combine the baking soda and a pinch of salt into the banana mix. Follow with sugar, the beaten egg, and vanilla extract, stirring until well mixed.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour to your wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Layer half of the banana bread batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over this layer.
- Top with the remaining batter, and finish with the rest of the cinnamon sugar blend.
- Swirl the cinnamon sugar through the batter gently using a knife or skewer.
- Bake in your preheated oven for 50-60 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
