How to Make Classic Moist Banana Bread
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas and stir well to combine.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and a pinch of salt over the mixture, then gently stir in.
- Slowly add the all-purpose flour and fold it in gently until just combined.
- If desired, fold in walnuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
