- In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, ranch dressing mix, and chopped bacon. Mix gently until just combined to keep the patties tender.
- Shape the mixture into 6 equal-sized burger patties, making a slight indent in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.
- Preheat a skillet or outdoor grill over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 6 minutes per side, or until nicely browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese atop each patty. Close the lid to help it melt perfectly.
