Basic Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it with non-stick spray or butter.
- In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the egg noodles until they are just al dente, about 6-7 minutes. Drain the noodles and set them aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until you achieve a smooth consistency.
- Gently fold the cooked noodles into the sauce mixture along with the shredded chicken, half of the cheddar cheese, and half of the bacon.
- Pour the mixture into your greased baking dish, spreading it evenly. Top it off with the remaining cheddar cheese and the rest of the bacon.
- Cover your dish with foil and bake it in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Let your casserole rest for about 5 minutes before serving. If desired, sprinkle green onions on top for a fresh garnish.
