How to Make Crab and Shrimp Seafood Bisque
- Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat. Allow it to bubble gently, releasing a fragrant aroma that will form the base of your bisque.
- Sauté the chopped celery and green onions until soft, about 3-4 minutes. Stirring occasionally will help them release their natural sweetness.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute to eliminate the raw flour taste.
- Warm the milk in the microwave and whisk it into the saucepan until smooth.
- Add the heavy cream, tomato paste, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper; whisk well to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a low simmer, stirring frequently until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the shrimp and crab meat, heating for about 2-3 minutes until warmed through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley or chives.

Notes
Use a heavy-bottomed pot to prevent scorching the milk and ensure a smooth bisque. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
