Cooking Steps
- In a large soup pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat for about 5-6 minutes, breaking it into small pieces without stirring initially.
- Add the chopped onion to the pot and continue cooking for about 5 minutes until the onion is softened and translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and uncooked orzo, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the tomato sauce, beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a gentle bubble.
- Cook uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking, until the orzo is al dente and the sauce has thickened.
- Remove from heat, stir in the grated Parmesan and baby spinach, cover, and let thicken for 3-5 minutes.
