How to Make Rømmegrøt
  1. Start by pouring whole milk into a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Warm it over medium heat until it reaches 195°F, stirring continuously.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and kosher salt. Set aside once mixed.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt salted butter over medium heat. Once the milk has reached the desired temperature, add your flour mixture into the melted butter, stirring to form a thick paste.
  4. Gradually mix the thick paste into the warm milk, stirring constantly. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and cook on low for about 5 minutes until it becomes thick and creamy.
  5. Pour the luscious porridge into bowls, drizzle with melted butter, and generously sprinkle cinnamon-sugar on top. Serve warm.
