  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
For the Rice Paper
  • 4 sheets Rice Paper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar

Method
 

How to Make Rice Paper Bacon
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease your baking sheets with a bit of coconut oil.
  2. Whisk all your marinade ingredients in a shallow dish.
  3. Prepare a bowl of room-temperature water to soften the rice paper.
  4. Soak 2 sheets of rice paper in the water for 15-30 seconds, then marinate them for 1 minute on each side.
  5. Cut the marinated rice paper into strips and place them on the greased baking sheet.
  6. Brush the bacon strips with leftover marinade and sprinkle with brown sugar and black pepper.
  7. Bake for 3-4 minutes, flip, brush, and bake for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Cool on a wire rack for 5-10 minutes before serving.
