Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unroll one tube of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar, egg, and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the dough base and spread evenly.
  5. Open the second tube of crescent dough and place it over the filling, pinching seams to seal.
  6. Melt the butter and brush it on top of the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and filling is set with a slight jiggle. Cool for 1 hour before slicing.
