How to Make Red Velvet Cookies
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Cream the softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg yolks and vanilla to the butter mixture; mix until well combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the red gel food coloring until the desired hue is achieved.
- Fold in the chopped white chocolate or chips gently.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto a prepared baking sheet.
