Cinnamon Syrup Preparation
- In a saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a simmer and stir until sugar dissolves. Cover and let steep for 1-4 hours, then strain and add vanilla.
Making the Latte
- Gently steam or microwave milk until hot but not boiling, aiming for around 150°F.
- Mix in the cinnamon syrup to the heated milk and froth until thick and bubbly.
- Pour the freshly brewed decaffeinated espresso into a mug and top with frothy cinnamon-infused milk.
- Crown with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon. Optionally, drizzle more cinnamon syrup on top.
