  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Soften it first for easy blending.
  • 1 cup Medium Cheddar Cheese Swap for pepper jack for more heat.
  • 1 tbsp Chives Fresh or green onions as an alternative.
  • 1 clove Garlic Fresh is best for aromatic depth.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust according to bacon's saltiness.
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper Freshly ground for better flavor.
For the Topping
  • 6 slices Bacon Crispy bacon adds savory goodness.
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs Regular breadcrumbs can be used.
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter Can use rendered bacon fat for extra flavor.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Fry bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Once done, chop into small pieces and set aside; reserve drippings for flavor.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chives, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until fully blended.
  3. Wearing kitchen gloves, slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.
  4. Generously fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture and level it with the edges.
  5. Mix panko breadcrumbs with melted butter or bacon drippings and chopped bacon. Spoon this over the stuffed jalapeños.
  6. Arrange the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (204°C) for 17-20 minutes.
  7. Cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
