How to Make Chocolate Covered Rice Krispie Treats
- Start by gathering all your ingredients. Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter completely. Add in the mini marshmallows and stir continuously for about 5 minutes until gooey and smooth.
- Remove the pan from heat and stir in the Rice Krispies cereal. Mix gently until evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture into the lined baking dish and press down firmly.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in 30-second intervals until smooth.
- Cut the Rice Krispie mixture into squares. Dip each square halfway into the chocolate, then place them back on parchment paper to cool.
- Top with colorful sprinkles if desired.
