Ingredients
  

For the Batter
  • 7 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 7 tbsp castor sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp honey optional
  • 13 tbsp cake flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 3-4 tsp water adjust as needed
  • 1-2 drops pink food coloring optional
For Topping
  • edible dried rose petals

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your madeleine pan.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter and let it cool slightly.
  3. Whisk together eggs and castor sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Add honey and melted butter to the egg mixture, stirring gently.
  5. Sift together cake flour and baking powder, then fold into the egg mixture.
  6. Prepare the glaze by mixing confectioners' sugar with water and pink food coloring until smooth.
  7. Spoon batter into the madeleine pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Cool madeleines in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Glaze the cooled madeleines lightly and add edible rose petals on top.
