Cooking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a loaf pan by greasing it lightly or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic in a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat until they soften, about 3-4 minutes. Let them cool slightly before adding them to the mixture.
- Combine in a large mixing bowl: ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, sautéed onion and garlic, dried herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined to keep your meatloaf tender.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf with your hands and place it in the prepared loaf pan or on the lined baking sheet.
- Mix the glaze ingredients: ketchup, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Spread this glaze evenly over the top of your meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). The outside should be golden brown and the glaze nicely caramelized.
- Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes after baking. This step is essential to let the juices redistribute, ensuring every slice is moist and flavorful.
