  • 2 cups boiling water must be boiling for best results
For the Creamy Finish
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract reduce or omit for straightforward peach flavor
  • 2 cups whipped topping opt for light or sugar-free versions if desired

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Drain and chop the peaches into small, bite-sized pieces.
  2. Dissolve gelatin and sugar (if using) in the boiling water until fully melted, then add reserved peach juice.
  3. Refrigerate the mixture until it thickens slightly, about 20-30 minutes.
  4. If using, mix almond extract into the whipped topping, then fold into the thickened gelatin.
  5. Fold chopped peaches into the creamy gelatin mixture.
  6. Pour into a greased 6-cup mold and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Unmold the Peach Bavarian onto a platter and garnish with peach slices.
