Preparation Steps
- Drain and chop the peaches into small, bite-sized pieces.
- Dissolve gelatin and sugar (if using) in the boiling water until fully melted, then add reserved peach juice.
- Refrigerate the mixture until it thickens slightly, about 20-30 minutes.
- If using, mix almond extract into the whipped topping, then fold into the thickened gelatin.
- Fold chopped peaches into the creamy gelatin mixture.
- Pour into a greased 6-cup mold and refrigerate overnight.
- Unmold the Peach Bavarian onto a platter and garnish with peach slices.
