For the Colors
  • 1 tablespoon Red Gel Food Coloring Avoid liquid dyes.
  • 1 tablespoon Blue Gel Food Coloring Opt for gel to maintain consistency.
For the Frosting
  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar For a smooth finish.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Whip until fluffy.

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the cake flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar for about 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs, one at a time, along with pure vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually mix in your dry ingredients, alternating with whole milk.
  6. Divide the batter into three bowls. Color one portion with red gel food coloring, another with blue, and keep the last one white.
  7. Spoon the different colored batters into the prepared pans in alternating layers and gently swirl them together.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cakes to cool completely in their pans before removing.
  10. Make the frosting using powdered sugar and heavy cream, then frost between the layers and on top.
