Making the Orange Rolls
- Combine active dry yeast with warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the yeast mixture, 1/4 cup sugar, 6 tablespoons melted butter, eggs, sour cream, and salt until smooth. Gradually add 2 cups of flour until a soft dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, let rise for about 1.5 hours.
- In a small bowl, combine orange zest with 3/4 cup sugar to add sweetness.
- Grease a 13x9” baking pan. Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle, brush with remaining butter, and sprinkle half of the sugar mixture.
- Cut the dough into 12 wedges and place them point-side down in the prepared pan.
- Cover and let rise for another hour. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 22 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, sour cream, butter, orange juice, and a pinch of salt, stirring until smooth. Pour glaze over freshly baked rolls.

Notes
For best results, use fresh yeast and monitor dough temperature. Allow the dough ample time to rise for optimal texture.
