How to Make Refreshing Mint Iced Tea
  1. Boil Water: Start by bringing 2 quarts of water to a boil in a pot. Once boiling, turn off the heat to avoid overcooking the mint leaves.
  2. Add Mint Leaves: Carefully add the rinsed fresh spearmint leaves to the hot water. Cover the pot and let them steep for about 15-20 minutes to infuse their lovely flavor.
  3. Add Tea Bags (Optional): If you desire a deeper flavor, add the black tea bags to the pot and steep for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  4. Sweeten to Taste: Remove the tea bags and the mint leaves, then stir in granulated sugar to taste.
  5. Serve Over Ice: Strain the mixture into a pitcher that’s half-filled with ice.
  6. Garnish Delightfully: For an inviting presentation, add lemon slices or fresh mint sprigs before serving.
