For the Topping
  • 1 ½ cups Shredded Cheese cheddar or Mexican blend, experiment with pepper jack
  • 1 bag (10.75 oz) Doritos, crushed avoid over-crushing to maintain texture

Method
 

How to Make Dorito Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the ground beef and diced onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is browned; drain any excess fat.
  3. Mix in the diced tomatoes, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream; warm through for about 5 minutes.
  4. Layer half of the crushed Doritos at the bottom of your baking dish.
  5. Follow this with half of the beef mixture and sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top.
  6. Repeat the layering with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Bake the casserole for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let sit for a few minutes before serving.
