Directions
- Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).
- Cream together the butter and mawa in a large mixing bowl until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the curd and milk, whisking gently until well-combined.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl: all-purpose flour, corn flour, powdered sugar, cardamom powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients gradually, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a lined and greased 8" square or 9" round baking tin.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the tin for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optional: Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar for decoration.
