- Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C) and prepare a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Whisk egg whites in a clean bowl at medium speed until foamy, about 2 minutes.
- Add cream of tartar and whisk until soft peaks form.
- Increase the speed to high and gradually add sugar, whisking until stiff, glossy peaks form, about 8-10 minutes.
- Fold in vanilla extract and green gel food coloring gently.
- Transfer the meringue to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip and pipe tree shapes.
- Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes until completely dry.
- Cool the meringues in the oven for 30 minutes.
