Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C) and prepare a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Whisk egg whites in a clean bowl at medium speed until foamy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add cream of tartar and whisk until soft peaks form.
  4. Increase the speed to high and gradually add sugar, whisking until stiff, glossy peaks form, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Fold in vanilla extract and green gel food coloring gently.
  6. Transfer the meringue to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip and pipe tree shapes.
  7. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes until completely dry.
  8. Cool the meringues in the oven for 30 minutes.
  9. Optional: Sprinkle with additional festive decorations before serving.
