How to Make Garbage Bread
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and diced onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are softened. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then drain any excess grease.
- On a well-floured surface, roll the French bread dough into a large rectangle, approximately 12x18 inches.
- Spread ketchup and mustard over the dough, leaving a ½ inch border all around.
- Layer the cooked beef, crispy bacon, and chopped pickles onto the spread sauces. Top with slices of cheese.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log, sealing the edges well. Place seam side down on a prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the top of the rolled dough with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool for five minutes before slicing.
