Equipment

  • large skillet

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil into a large skillet and warm it over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and green bell peppers to the skillet. Cook for 3-5 minutes until they become tender and fragrant.
  3. Push the vegetables to one side and add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it up with a spatula and cook until it’s nicely browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together for about 2 minutes.
  5. Lower the heat and layer the provolone cheese over the beef mixture. Cover the skillet and let it melt for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise, ensuring not to cut all the way through.
  7. Generously fill each roll with the savory beef and vegetable mixture.
  8. Serve the sandwiches hot!
