How to Make HEART CHURROS
- In a saucepan, add water, butter, and sugar over medium heat. Stir until the butter melts completely, creating a sweet, aromatic base.
- Add in the flour and stir vigorously until a dough forms. It should be smooth, pulling away from the sides of the pan.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the dough to cool slightly. This will prevent the egg from cooking when added next.
- Stir in the egg until fully integrated into the dough, resulting in a glossy, smooth mixture that’s ready for frying.
- In a frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat until shimmering. This is the perfect temperature for frying those churros!
- Carefully pipe the dough into the hot oil, frying until golden brown on all sides, usually about 3-4 minutes. Turn them for even cooking.
- Once perfectly golden, remove the churros from the oil and drain on paper towels to soak up any excess oil.
