  • 1 pound lean ground beef use lean for a healthier option
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken
  • 1/2 cup milk whole milk for better flavor
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Greek yogurt can be an alternative
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder or fresh onions
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to your taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper smoked paprika can be used
For the Veggies and Cheese
  • 1 cup frozen corn or peas/mixed veggies
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese for the topping
  • 4 slices bacon can use turkey bacon for lighter option
For the Topping
  • 32 ounces tater tots ensure they are crispy

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Mix in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, onion powder, salt, black pepper, corn, and half of your cheddar cheese.
  4. Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Top with frozen tater tots and sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until tots are golden brown and casserole is bubbling.
  7. Sprinkle cooked and chopped bacon over the top before serving.
