Cooking Steps
- Boil egg noodles in salted water according to the package instructions, usually around 7-9 minutes, until al dente. Once done, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat over medium heat and add ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, and drain excess fat.
- Add butter to the skillet with the browned beef. Once melted, whisk in flour and stir for about 2 minutes until lightly golden.
- Gradually whisk in beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Allow the sauce to thicken for about 3-4 minutes, then add milk.
- Sprinkle in garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt. Mix well to blend flavors.
- Lower the heat and fold in the cooked noodles and browned beef into the creamy sauce. Stir for 2-3 minutes.
- Fold in the sour cream just before serving until fully incorporated.
- Dish out the Hamburger Stroganoff onto plates and enjoy it immediately.
