- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, green pepper, and onion over medium heat. Stir until the meat is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain off any excess fat.
- Stir in the uncooked egg noodles, diced tomatoes (with their juices), water, chili sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the flavors.
- Bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Stir occasionally until the noodles are tender and have absorbed the flavors.
- Just before serving, gently stir in the crumbled bacon. This adds a delicious, smoky crunch to your casserole.
