How to Make Homemade Churros
- In a saucepan, mix water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, stir in the all-purpose flour. Reduce heat and mix until smooth.
- Allow the dough to cool for about 5 minutes. Then, add the egg and vanilla extract; blend until smooth.
- Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- In a pot, heat vegetable oil until it reaches 360°F.
- Pipe 6-inch strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting with scissors. Fry for about 2 minutes per side.
- Let the churros drain on paper towels.
- Roll the warm churros in a cinnamon-sugar mixture.
