  • 12 pieces Black Mission Figs Use fresh figs for best texture
For the Filling
  • 4 ounces Bleu Cheese Feel free to swap with goat cheese
For the Wrap
  • 6 slices Prosciutto Pancetta can be used as a substitute
For the Crunch
  • 1/4 cup Marcona Almonds Regular almonds or walnuts can be substituted
For the Sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons Honey Maple syrup can be used as a substitute
For the Seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon White Pepper Black pepper can be used as a substitute

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the broiler on low.
  2. Score the tops of each fig with an 'X', approximately ½ inch deep.
  3. Stuff each fig with a small chunk of bleu cheese.
  4. Wrap each fig with a piece of prosciutto and season with white pepper.
  5. Place figs in an ovenproof dish and broil for 3-5 minutes.
  6. Remove figs from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  7. Drizzle honey over the figs and sprinkle with almonds.
