How to Make Chocolate Banana Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the dry ingredients: whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and sea salt.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients: mash the brown bananas and add the melted butter, oil, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until creamy.
  4. Combine the mixtures: gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips: carefully stir in 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake for 55-65 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
