How to Make Chocolate Banana Bread
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the dry ingredients: whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and sea salt.
- Mix the wet ingredients: mash the brown bananas and add the melted butter, oil, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until creamy.
- Combine the mixtures: gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips: carefully stir in 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 55-65 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
