How to Make French Onion Ground Beef Casserole
- Prepare the egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain them well to remove excess moisture.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook it until fully browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles, browned beef, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, onion soup mix, Sherry (if using), and Worcestershire sauce. Stir together until well-mixed.
- Pour the flavorful mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the Gruyere cheese evenly over the top, followed by the crispy French's fried onions.
- Place the baking dish in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
