Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, panko breadcrumbs, A1 sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, steak seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly and form into 4 patties, about ¾ to 1 inch thick.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil if needed. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they’re nicely browned and fully cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the thinly sliced onions for about 5 minutes until they become translucent. Scrape up any brown bits from the bottom for extra flavor!
  4. Stir in the flour, cooking for 1 minute to achieve a light brown color. Gradually whisk in beef broth while stirring, allowing it to simmer and thicken. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they’re tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Return the cooked patties to the skillet. Spoon the savory gravy over them, letting everything simmer together for a few minutes to meld those delicious flavors.
