Preparation
- Allow the fresh ricotta cheese to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- In a food processor, combine the room-temperature ricotta, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Process for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
- In a small bowl, mix together honey, hot sauce, and chili flakes. Gently warm to keep the honey runny.
- Spread the ricotta base in a serving bowl and drizzle with the spicy honey mixture. Garnish with chopped walnuts and minced rosemary if desired.
- Serve at room temperature with crackers, baguette slices, or vegetables.
