Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and bake the sweet potatoes for 50 minutes until tender. Once cool, peel them.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peeled sweet potatoes, melted butter, eggs, milk, almond and vanilla extracts, both sugars, spices, salt, and flour. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the filling into the deep-dish pie crusts. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour, until the center has a gentle jiggle.
- Remove from the oven and let the pies cool on a wire rack. Refrigerate if preparing in advance.
