  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil or canola oil
  • 1 cup Onion (chopped) shallots can be used
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) fresh is best
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour can use cornstarch for gluten-free
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese sour cream can be a substitute
  • 2 cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup Milk whole or dairy-free alternative
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning homemade mix can be used
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated) can use Pecorino Romano
  • 3 cups Turkey (cooked and chopped) can substitute with chicken or seafood

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking your creamy casserole.
  2. Cook Spaghetti: Boil the spaghetti according to the package directions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Cook Base: In a saucepan, melt the butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes until translucent, then stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Make Sauce: Whisk in the all-purpose flour for about 2 minutes until bubbly. Gradually add in chicken broth and milk. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Bring to a gentle boil, then mix in cream cheese and mozzarella until completely melted.
  5. Combine Turkey and Pasta: Fold in the cooked turkey and drained spaghetti into the sauce mixture until combined.
  6. Transfer and Bake: Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese on top and bake uncovered for 30-45 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
