How to Make Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookies
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter (or oil), packed brown sugar, and mashed banana. Stir until well blended and creamy.
- Next, incorporate the egg yolk and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth.
- Gradually add the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt. Stir gently until no dry flour remains.
- Carefully fold in the chocolate chips, then let the dough rest for about 15 minutes while the oven preheats.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop approximately one-inch spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake the cookies for 10-11 minutes until puffed and slightly set around the edges.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
