Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine in a large bowl the ground beef, diced onion, beaten eggs, dry breadcrumbs, milk, seasoned salt, black pepper, and dried basil.
- Form half of the meat mixture into a loaf shape in a greased loaf pan.
- Distribute cream cheese pieces and diced jalapenos evenly on top of the meatloaf.
- Cover the stuffing with the remaining meat mixture, sealing the edges securely.
- Spread ketchup generously over the top of the meatloaf and lay the halved bacon slices on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Allow the meatloaf to rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
