  • 2 tablespoons dried minced onions
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or fresh garlic as substitute
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup low sodium beef broth chicken broth is an alternative
For the Creamy Base
  • 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables or family's favorite
For the Cheesy Topping
  • 1 cup grated Colby Jack cheese or cheddar
  • 1 package frozen tater tots lighter version if watching calories

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Combine dried minced onions, sea salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce with the beef; stir well.
  4. Mix in low sodium beef broth, sour cream, and frozen mixed vegetables until well combined.
  5. Layer half of the grated cheese in the bottom of a baking dish; pour the beef mixture over it and top with remaining cheese.
  6. Arrange the tater tots on top of the cheese layer, covering the dish completely.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown.
