Ingredients

For the Crust
  • 1.5 cups Graham Cracker Crumbs Substitute with gluten-free crumbs for GF options.
  • 0.25 cups Granulated Sugar Brown sugar can be used for a richer flavor.
  • 0.5 cups Unsalted Butter Use margarine for a dairy-free option.
For the Filling
  • 16 oz Cream Cheese For low-fat options, use reduced-fat cream cheese.
  • 0.5 cups Sour Cream Greek yogurt can be a healthier substitute.
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract Use pure for the best results; imitation can suffice in a pinch.
  • 3 large Eggs Flax eggs can be used for a vegan version.
For the Swirls
  • 0.5 cups Heavy Cream Half-and-half can be used as a lighter alternative.
  • 0.5 cups Brown Sugar Can be substituted with coconut sugar.
  • 0.25 cups Butter Vegetable oil can be an alternative in some recipes.
  • 1 tbsp Gel Food Coloring (Green) Liquid food coloring can be used, but it may affect texture.
  • 1 tbsp Gel Food Coloring (Purple) Liquid food coloring can be used, but it may affect texture.

Equipment

  • Springform pan
  • Electric mixer
  • saucepan

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until sandy. Press firmly into the bottom of the springform pan and bake for 8-10 minutes, then cool completely.
  3. In an electric mixer, beat cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add sour cream and vanilla, then mix in eggs one at a time until just combined.
  4. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, brown sugar, and butter. Bring to a boil, then simmer until thickened. Divide into two bowls and color one green and the other purple.
  5. Pour cheesecake filling over the cooled crust. Drizzle the green and purple mixtures on top, then swirl gently with a toothpick.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the edges are set but the center remains slightly wobbly.
  7. Cool gradually in the oven with the door open, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set.
  8. Decorate with additional swirls and edible glitter before serving.
