Preparation Steps
  1. In a pot, whisk together the whole milk, your choice of cornstarch or rice flour, and sugar until fully dissolved. If using whipping cream, add it now for extra creaminess.
  2. Place the pot over medium heat, continuously whisking for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens to a pudding-like consistency.
  3. Lower the heat and keep whisking for a few more minutes to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove the pot from heat and stir in your chosen flavoring: cardamom, orange blossom, or rose water.
  5. Spoon the mixture into individual dessert cups or a large dish. Cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 2-3 hours.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle your desired garnish on top for crunch and flavor.
