- In a pot, whisk together the whole milk, your choice of cornstarch or rice flour, and sugar until fully dissolved. If using whipping cream, add it now for extra creaminess.
- Place the pot over medium heat, continuously whisking for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens to a pudding-like consistency.
- Lower the heat and keep whisking for a few more minutes to prevent sticking.
- Remove the pot from heat and stir in your chosen flavoring: cardamom, orange blossom, or rose water.
- Spoon the mixture into individual dessert cups or a large dish. Cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 2-3 hours.
- Before serving, sprinkle your desired garnish on top for crunch and flavor.
