How to Make Mandel Bread
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Beat the eggs, then add in the granulated sugar and vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
- Fold in the chopped almonds or walnuts.
- Shape the dough into two logs and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the logs are lightly golden.
- Slice the baked logs into individual pieces while they are still warm.
- Cool the slices on a wire rack.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
