How to Make Stuffed Italian Meatloaf
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, ground Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix until just combined.
  3. Prepare the cheese filling by mixing mozzarella and Parmesan cheese in a separate bowl. If using spinach, add it here.
  4. Flatten the meat mixture onto parchment paper, shaping it into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Spread the cheese filling evenly across the flattened meat. Roll it up tightly, enclosing the filling.
  6. Place the rolled meatloaf seam-side down in a baking dish. Bake for 45-50 minutes at 375°F until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Top with marinara sauce during the last 10 minutes of baking.
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute.
